These special edition tees feature “D²” and Dede’s dates of life on the sleeve, honoring our dear friend with love and intention. Designed in collaboration with her sister, Darlene, they are only available through preorder. After this release, the design will be available on our website with the classic front-left chest and full-back artwork, but without the commemorative sleeve detail.

This special design on the back of the gear was drawn by Rock Life ambassador and multidisciplinary artist Kyzandrha Zárate, whose connection to Dede runs deep. Back in 2001, Dede gave Kyzandrha her first shot at the Florida Times-Union—hiring her as a young creative and sparking a friendship that grew through years of collaboration and mutual respect. Today, Kyzandrha is an award-winning artist, photographer, designer, and community builder whose work has been featured in newspapers, books, magazines, and the Florida Press Association Awards. She now calls Brevard, North Carolina home, where she founded the White Squirrel Artisans Market, co-owns Lifestyle & Living Photography, performs as part of the Americana duo Gypsy & Me, and runs ARThropology, her handcrafted jewelry and décor brand. Her design for Rock Life honors Dede with authenticity and heart.
